It is designed to cater for novice and intermediate watersports enthusiasts. The aim of NWF is to transform the normal spectator into the competitor / participant. The Conwy Ascent is an upstream kayaking/canoeing event, taking advantage of the flood tide to start in the Deganwy Narrows and finish at Dolgarrog Bridge approximately 15km away. The river offers many challenges in reading water and weather conditions and is rich in wildlife and beautiful scenery. The Questars 360 Thames Ridgeway Challenge is a 24 hour endurance event which involves kayaking down the River Thames, running along the Thames Path and cycling back along The Ridgeway.
