had my scupper 4 years great all round kayak stable fast for a plastic boat the rear store area sits too low and gets very wet otherwise perfect would recommend to anyone i sometimes use a pacific action v sail which fits on in minutes and adds a whole new dimension to kayaking in windy conditions

Excellent sea or touring kayak. Fast, good tracking. Good fishing platform. Very stable due to low seating position, but wet! Feels 'tippy' compared to wider models, but actually far more difficult to turn over.

A rudder is a must, I installed the KFS rudder and it´s Ok. Seal of the oval hatch leak, I change for an automotive seal for doors and it´s Ok. Thightbands are a must for surf. With a rudder and a Kalliste 220 cm Werner paddle I can touring for 20 miles in a group with Sit In Sea Kayaks.

love mine to bits. only had it a couple months and upgraded from my first kayak, a frenzy, one extreme to the other. scupper just fills me with confidence. breaks out through heavy surf due to its long length. but a real handful coming back in. gets pushed sideways very quick. i know its not a surf boat but had to try it. what a laugh. got washed out totally three times but surf was over 4 ft and breaking heavy. in normal ocean swell is ok but can get pushed about a bit by wind and tide, think would benefit from a rudder if covering long distance. but a pleasure to paddle. i am new to it all and learning new techniques. great storage, will put all the beach gear(folding chairs x2, parasole, beachtent, towels, sandwiches, flasks etc, in the hatches, mine has two (no tank well) , wife walks the coast with the dogs and i paddle all the gear to empty end of beach and enjoy.
