This light, versatile kayak has been given a wider seat to comfortably accommodate fuller hips and fitted with Neoprene handles to make it easier to carry and move.
I've had my Venus for over 6 years and wouldn't consider anything else. It's sold as a woman's kayak, but my fella loves it just as much as me, and thought it a more manageable size than the Ocean Kayak Mars that he had.
I find the boat easy to lift and carry and she sits low enough in the water not to be affected by side winds etc.
The Venus manages surf no problem and is pretty stable, likewise on the open sea, she's great in waves and feels quite solid. On flat water,her sleek lines make her quite fast and paddles easily in a straight line.
I'm not the most confident person on the water and can get a bit freaked out if I find myself it, the Venus inspires confidence and is an excellent all-round boat.
I would advise buying the 'skupper bungs' to keep excess water out, and there's plenty of space in the boot to take a large dry bag.
I've never been disappointed by this Kayak and would highly recommend it. - MHS
