Getting There

Follow signs to Graveny from Faversham, or approach from Whitstable

Description

Possible to launch about three hours before high. Large expanse of flat sandy mud seabed.
Very safe, modest tide, warmer than usual sea due to tide moving over large flats when coming in.
Good safe fun even on a windy day in the Summer.

Facilities

Toilets and a good shop by the yacht club.
Pub on seafront.

Put-ins / Take-outs

Anywhere, there are steps over the sea wall at various intervals. Public ramp at yacht club, near the shop.

Hazards

None, safe for novices.

Notes

You can paddle left into the Swale Estuary, exploring Conyer and Faversham creeks at high tide.
Right takes you to Herne Bay.
