Getting There

Start from Linton on Ouse. 10m North of York.
Finish at Naburn Lock.

Description

A gentle down-stream suitable for families. No shops or toilets en route except in York.
We saw kingfishers and lots of trees.
There is a footpath north of York where the walkers move faster!

Facilities

Cafe/shop at Linton. No lockeeper but ask to be polite. Car Parking and camping.
Part-time Lockeeper at Naburn. Campsite 100yds.

Put-ins / Take-outs

From the jetties.
Unload at the Slipway in York down the side of the Mecca Bingo. Park near Cliffords Tower and walk away from the city walls

Hazards

Large trip boats and self-drive motor boats in York .
