The annual Round Hayling Race is being transformed into the HISC Boardsports Festival with a greater reach and broader activities for all ages to enjoy.
September 2018’s event is being opened up to include windsurfers, SUPs and kayaks/canoe classes. The aim is for the event to appeal to both experienced competitors who relish the thrill of this iconic long-distance race, while at the same time we will have activities for the less experienced who just want to get involved in fun-based activities on their windsurfers, SUPs and kayaks.
Saturday 22 September
Round Hayling Race for following classes in the Round Island Race Classic.
All outrigger canoes
The 2018 edition of this iconic annual long distance race.
Party/Dinner, Entertainment at HISC for all competitors.
Accommodation available at HISC – but please book early.
Sunday 23 September
Fun races for all windsurfers, SUPs, all types of Canoes/Kayaks over West Mud, or in lagoon.
Concluding the event will be a ‘Waterman/woman Challenge, a three-leg race inc. Swimming, SUP and Windsurfing. Individuals can enter or teams of three people, one person completing each leg
Sunday pm – Prizegiving for all events.
