Recently purchased the Nomad
Recently purchased the Nomad with surfing in mind for the primary use and a backup flat water boat for my kids to tool around on. We have use it 3 times on local lakes and it performs very well for adults and kids. Very stable and maneuverable. I've also used it in the surf a few times. Only took one full session to get the hang it. The Nomads smaller size makes it very easy to run push through beach break / white water and the turn rate for picking up last second waves is top notch. As far as tracking while on riding a wave, I'd say it works well, not great. It tends to drop sideways down the wave faces and on occasion it will turn around 180 degrees and surf backward. This may be corrected by installing the optional skeg which I haven't purchased as of yet. All in all I'd say it does everything as advertised. I would recommend this boat mainly for surf / white water uses. If you are going to use it more for touring, I'd go with something a foot or two longer.

I've been padding my nomad
I've been paddling my nomad sport for about 4 years now and found it to be a fantastic all round kayak its stability , speed and tracking are hard to match and the wheel in the keel makes it easy to launch and also acts as a skeg in the water. The moulded handles at the front back and side make getting it in and out of the water a breeze and it's also easy to put on a roof rack. The anchor points are moulded into the body so can never fail unlike some cheaper makes where they are just riveted on. I've used it in the sea, rivers and canals and it's never let me down

Had my Nomad for 3 years now
Had my Nomad for 3 years now and absolutely love it, started off on local canals to get a feel for it and progressed to open water on Loch Lomond & Loch Tay, with the optional skeg ( rudder ) it tracks really well and turns a fair speed for a sit on. lately i have been using it in the sea with a mix of surf kayaking and coastal exploring, here is where it excels with it's versatility. All round good fun and light enough to carry. I use the optional thigh braces when surfing as a carry strap too and it is easily car topped too.
