National Trust Nature Reserve and sheltered harbour on the North West coast of the Isle of Wight. Several inlets and tributaries to explore, very shallow in places.

How to get there:

Follow directions to Shalfleet, if coming from Yarmouth turn left before Shalfleet Garage or from Newport turn right at Shalfleet Garage then continue for approximately half a mile and take the first turning on your right, sign posted Newtown, continue for approx 500 yards and park near the bridge.

Hazards:

Estuary empties out at low tide, but easily navigable for 2 hours either side of high water.

Ins and Outs:

Put in at Pullin by the bridge.

Overview:

Idyllic for bird watching alongside salt marshes, check tides before setting out.
