Bala lake is one of the largest lakes in Wales. 4 miles in length and 1 mile wide and about 42 meters deep, it’s a fun place to get out on the kayak. There is a charge for going on the lake about £4.00 for the day. You can get the pass from the wardens. A good place for anyone in any type of boat and is good for anyone of any experience.

How to get there:

Follow signs for Bala and where you get to Bala look for signs for Bala lake.

Facilities:

There is Cafe close by and a walk into bala gives you a look around the shop and more places to eat and drink. Toilets and a changing room next to the car park.

Hazards:

There is a sailing club on the lake and they have races so do not go near their boats.

Ins and Outs:

The north end is the best place to get in and out with car park and toilets and a changing room. You have to walk about 10 yards in the water until you can get into your boat.
